CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

 

Zumba Gold = Low impact 45 minute cardio dance designed for people who need/want a lower intensity cardio workout. 

 

Cardio Dance= A fun, energetic 1 hour workout that combines a variety of different dance styles and traditional aerobic moves to great music.  More hip hop and pop music and style.

 

Pound= POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses into a 45-minute series. Burn between 400 and 900+ calories per hour, strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music!

Get RippedA 1 hour class.  This total body, high intensity style program, utilizing free weights, resistance and body weight, masterfully combines the components of R.I.P.P.E.D.--- Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics and Endurance as the workout helps you attain and maintain your physique in ways that are fun, safe, doable and extremely effective.  This is a class that is designed for more intermediate to advanced students.

PiYo Live=This 45 minute class combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. And, we crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined.

Step and Sculpt=  This 60 minute class is a high energy step aerobics class that maximizes the benefits of steady-state cardio combined with targeted weight training for the upper body.  This class is set to fun, upbeat music.  Each week, the sculpting portion of class focuses on a different muscle group.  Get ready to have fun, burn calories, and boost your strength! This class is designed for more intermediate to advanced students.

Cardio Kickboxing=  This 60 minute class is all about strength and conditioning with a mix of cardio, weights, and using your own body weight as resistance.  It is designed to get your heart rate up while being able to go at your own pace.  All fitness levels are welcome and modifications are given if needed.

Turbo Cardio Kickboxing=  This is an intense, fast-paced 30 minute HIIT style cardio kickboxing class. You will be moving nonstop and you will get your heart rate up.

Beginning PiYo =  This 60 minute class is designed for those new to PiYo, but is open to the more experienced students that enjoy a slower moving class.  Gentle PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga.

Gentle Yoga =  This 60 minute class is designed for those new to yoga, but is open to the more experienced yogis that enjoy a slow moving, meditative flow.  Slow and mindful movement allow for safe transitions into poses.  Breath instruction and guided meditation assist yogis in achieving balance in mind, body, and soul.

Step and Strength =  This 60 minute class is a high energy step aerobics class that maximizes the benefits of steady-state cardio combined with strength training for the upper body.  This class is set to fun, upbeat music and can be modified for everyone from beginners to elite athletes. 

Barre =  This 60 minute class is designed to offer an effective total body workout focused on low-impact, high intensity movements that lift and tone muscles to improve strength, agility and flexibility for every body.

  • CHILDREN MUST BE ON THE CARPETED PLAY

AREA AT ALL TIMES

  • FREE WEIGHTS MUST BE ON MATS AT ALL TIMES

  • NO FOOD OR DRINK IN THE STUDIO EXCEPT

WATER

  • SIGN IN BEFORE CLASS BEGINS EACH TIME

  • SHOES WORN INTO THE GYM MUST BE CHANGED

PRIOR TO WORKING OUT

  • NO JUDGEMENT!

  • HAVE A LOT OF FUN!

  • BE PROUD OF YOURSELF FOR TRYING SOMETHING!

  • WALK AWAY FROM EVERY CLASS WITH A SMILE

 

WHAT TO BRING

 

  • Comfy clothes

  • Comfy Shoes (NO STREET SHOES ALLOWED-which means bring a pair of shoes with you that you do not wear outside!  DO NOT WEAR them to the studio as it will track in dirt/water/rocks! Wiping them on the rug is not good enough.)

  • Water Bottle (Water is also available for $1 at the studio)

  • For Yoga: Bring Yoga Mat...extras are available if you would like to try it before you buy your own.

  • For Get Ripped: Bring your own weights if you have them (the weight you feel safe and comfortable to work out with) or you can use the limited amount we have at the studio.

  • For All Classes: HAVE FUN!! Bring a postive attitude and open mind!  Remember, everyone has to start somewhere!  You should always try a class a few times before deciding if it is for you or not.  You may be surprised how much easier the second class is once you know what to expect!
